Broadcast with me

For the chance that English teacher gave us, I have learn more about one of my beloved hobbies. In the past, I only knew that I love to listen to broadcast; however, not until this semester do I really make some effort to do some research on broadcast. I realized that all I cared about before was only program's quality, not the truth meaning that the broadcast program wanted to convey to us.
After I come to Taipei, I listen to the radio less than before I did when I was still in Kaohsiung. Last week, I went back to Kaohsiung. On the Sunday night, I turned on the radio, listening to the program. A familiar feeling strongly touched me at the moment. The radio DJ's voice, the theme music, and lots of funny jokes made me recall many wonderful memories in my high school life. This radio program have accompanied me for more than three years, so I could never ever forget the moving feeling that broadcast convey to me.
Although the people listening to the broadcast are fewer and fewer, I still believe that there are lots of fantastic things waiting for those who may make a wonderful connect with BROADCAST!

TV Show filming

This time, I would like to share a special experience. It is not directly to the broadcast. It is about the television. When I was in high school, I became the Mass Communication Club’s leader as I was grade eleven. That winter vacation, our club with some staff, held a camp for the club. The content which included TV show filming, visiting the broadcast station, and pay a visit to the Flora Expo. The television program that we went to was ‘’The Million Star’’, whose host was Matilda Tao. It was really a wonderful to me; I was amazed by the mysterious magic in the television company that night.
That night, apart from the participants, there was also some famous singers, such as Della Ding, Freya Lin. Their fantastic singing had made all of us astonished. It was the first time we went to a TV program for television filming, so I was so excited before that night! If I have the opportunity in the future, I would like to participate in the TV filming again.

Golden Bell for the Broadcast

As many people know, there is a Golden Bell Award Ceremony for television program. There is also a golden bell award for the broadcast programs, but few of us know it.
Just like the television golden bell award; there will be a lot of kinds of award, such as the best program, the best radio DJ, and the most popular radio DJ. Though the people that watch the broadcast are far fewer than those who watch, it is still an important ceremony for those who truly concern about radio industry. When a radio program receives a golden bell award, it not only means that the radio program will gain more popularity, it will also win some money for making more wonderful programs. As a producing team makes more efforts for the program, I think that the content of the program will be much more than before it was, and perhaps that it will attract some others to listen. Maybe, one of them will be YOU!

The MCC Club

When I was in senior high school, I joined the Mass Communication Club. In the club we learned many things about mass communication, which includes news, broadcast and television. I remembered that we had once invited a radio DJ to our school to teach us some techniques of making radio programs. It was an awesome lesson.
The DJ taught us that as we want to make a good radio program, first, we should love our voice. As we love our voice, we would have more confident when doing the program. Second, we might encounter some accidents that we doesn't think of before hand during the live programs. The DJ told us not to be too worried; just keep going at a steady pace. The more you panic, the more that the audience know that you make a mistake.
Last but not the least, enjoy every moment with the broadcast. You will find lot of fun in the broadcast world. As you show that you are truly happy then, the audience will feel as happy as you. It was really a fantastic and impressive lesson to me.

One of my favorite programs

Today, I would like to recommend you one of my favorite radio programs. This radio program named ‘’Midnight You and Me’’, which is part of the BCC (Broadcasting Corporation of China) broadcasting station. This radio station’s frequency modulation is 103.3 in Taipei, Taichung, and Kaohsiung. The program starts at the beginning of everyday and ends at 3:00A.M. The radio DJ’s name is ‘’Bean’’, who is a man with a sense of humor. Bean will introduce many latest albums in the program; interview some singers, writers or actors. Sometimes, he will have some interactions with the audience via the phone.
Sometimes, they will share unbelievable world news to the audience. For example, they’d once shared ridiculous news which was from Russia. The news was talking about that there was an activity. The participant should be a girl with courage; she will have to close her eyes, lie on the bed as the sleeping beauty and wait for her prince. The girl will open her eyes as she thinks that her prince comes. The only judgment is the ‘’kiss’’. As she opens her eyes, she’ll have to marry him. It is unforgettable news to me. All I want to say is, ‘’There’s really funny things waiting for you to explore in the broadcast world!’’ Give it a try! :D

Broadcast v.s Television

These days, televisions have taken the place of broadcast. There are some reasons for this phenomenon. First, the excitement that the visual stimulation could bring to us is much bigger than the hearing. Second, when watching television, we can see the actor’s facial expressions and lively movements. The amusing effect that television programs can make is truly more profound than the radio programs. However, sometimes, the broadcast might give you more inspirations and touching feelings.
I would like to share one of my experiences. I remembered that it happened when I was a junior high school student. Then, I was listening to a radio program in which is some singers or authors were interviewed. That time, the radio DJ was having a moving interview with a book writer. The book is talking about her daughter who had suffered from cancer, telling all how did her brave daughter fought against the cancer. While listening to the program, I could feel the author’s sincere emotion. Although I didn't see her facial expressions, I could strongly feel the message that she wanted to convey to us. ‘’Never give up! God helps those who help themselves.’’
Try to close your eyes, and open your ears; you may find a different wonderland in the world of broadcast. :)

My First Contact With Broadcast

Since I was a junior high school student, I have been interested in radio programs. Remembering that the first program which I listened to was a talking show that was slightly similar to a television variety show. I really appreciated the host's sense of humor and fantastic hosting skills. The program covered a wide spectrum of contents, including pop music, society news and entertainment news. It was the compelling contents that inspired me to explore the mysterious world of the broadcast. Therefore, I listened a lot of kinds of radio programs and I surfed on the Internet for radio DJ's information. The more I know about the radio DJ, the more I can understand what the host is going to convey to us. Since then, I have kept the hobby of listening radio programs and it seems to become my daily routine.  :)
